[Sipdan] Semi Finals Results: two finalists
The two finalists of the 6th Sipdan are decided; Lee Sedol 9P and Kang Yootack 3P.
On Mar. 19, Kang Yootack 3P advanced to the final, defeating Park Junghwan 9P by resignation. He has advanced to the semi finals for several times but not the title match. Last year, he advanced to the 5th Sipdan semi finals but was eliminated by Lee Changho 9P. This is his first title match.
Another finalist Lee Sedol defeated Lee Younggoo 8P by resignation in the semi final played on Mar. 20. The world's top player Lee Sedol has not held a Sipdan title yet.
The title match is a best of three series that will begin on Mar. 30. It will be also live broadcast on WBaduk.
The 6th Wonik Sipdan gives 10 minutes for basic time and 3 periods of 40 seconds for the overtime. The winner prize money is 50 million Won (approx. $ 45,000), and the runner up is given 20 million Won (approx. $18,000)
