Mr. Jin-seo SHIN becomes a new legend of 25th Nongshim Cup.
As the last Korean player in the 25th Nongshim Cup, he brought fourth consecutive championship to Korea with six consecutive walk-off wins.
Starting from the 22nd championship, Mr. SHIN finally made 16 consecutive wins, which breaks the record of Mr. Chang-ho LEE's 14 consecutive wins (1st to 6th championship).
Also, he exceeded the five consecutive wins of Mr. LEE, which is called 'Shanghai Battle', by making the six consecutive wins in Nongshim Cup.
Moreover, it is the first record which one player defeats all players of one country in Nongshim Cup.
Mr. SHIN defeated every elite player from China in this Nongshim Cup.
Mr. SHIN said, "I have mixed feelings. It is sure to be happy to win, but I could not feel the glory fully because it was also a sad day for me due to a personal issue. (*comment: his grandmother passed during the championship.) Still, I think it is the proudest achievement that I have accomplished in my life."
He also added, "I heard that the national team has made good performance, but the support budget has been reduced. I believe I need to make a lot of effort to increase the pie."
Meanwhile, he came back to Korea on February 24th with a big welcome.
