Taebaek-si will hold 1st Taebaek World Baduk Congress in February 2025

Taebaek City in Gangwon Province announced on the 15th that it will hold the first Taebaek-si World Baduk Congress for five days in February 2025 during the Taebaeksan Snow Festival.
It is expected that the congress will be held as an international Baduk festival with about 750 national and 250 foreign participants.
In October last year, the city signed a MOU (memorandum of understanding) with the Korea Baduk Federation (KBF) to hold the World Baduk Congress and the Korea Prime Minister Cup.
