The 1st Bosai Cup International Tournament is held in China to select the king of kings. It invited champions of China, Korea, and Japan

- Gu Li 9P of China, Lee Sedol 9P of Korea, and Iyama Yuta of Japan

After two rounds and one final match, Iyama Yuta became the champion of Asia.

The first round players were decided by lottery, and Iyama Yuta and Lee Sedol had the first round. In round 1, Iyama Yuta defeated Lee Sedol by resignation after 205 moves. Lee Sedol played the second round with Gu Li, but he lost again and was eliminated.

In the final match played on May 18, Iyama Yuta defeated Gu Li by resignation after 208 moves, and won the tournament.
