In the first round of the 49th Judan title match, Chang Hsu 9P defeated Iyama Yuta 9P by resignation after 177 moves.

The title holder is Chang Hsu 9P, and he has held this title for the last two years. The challenger is Iyama Yata 9P. They have faced in the current Kisei title match with the same position.

Title match is a best five series. The next round will be played on Mar. 24, and it will be live broadcast on WBaduk.

The 49th Judan gives each player 3 hours and 3 periods of 60 seconds. The winner prize money is 15 Million JPY (approx. $182,400).
