The 14th LG Cup World Baduk Championship Best-of-3 Final is going to be held in the Baduk TV studio located in the 1st floor of the Korea Baduk Association building starting from Feb. 22nd.

Winning the Samsung Cup World Baduk Masters Championship, making it to the final in LG Cup World Baduk Championship and doing a good job in the Chinese Jia League, Kong Jie 9p was ranked as No.1 for the 3rd time in his career after 2 years and 4 months to push away Gu Li 9p to the 2nd place and take his place which had appeared to be unchangeable. In the LG Cup World Baduk Championship, he made it to the final as he won 4 straight games against Korean players only including Lee Sedol 9p, Kang Yutaek 3p, Choi Chulhan 9p and Park Younghoon 9p.
In the previous LG Cup World Baduk Championship, China's Gu Li 9p has defeated Lee Sedol 9p by 2-0 and won the LG Cup which was his second LG Cup after the 10th LG Cup.
