2022 11th Ilyo News Cup Baduk Tournament ended successfully
The finals of the 11th Ilyo News Cup Baduk tournament were held at 'All That Mind' Go Stadium in Munrae-dong, Seoul on the June 19th. In the aftermath of COVID-19, 381 children from six countries, including Korea, Taiwan (3), Singapore (23), Malaysia (20), Vietnam (1), and Thailand (2), participated in the preliminary league, which was held as an online match this year.
The online preliminary round was held from May 5 to 20 in the tournament server of the 'Tygem' competition. 8 finalists came out from each division as a result.
Song Hee-je, the strongest children of this competition, was awarded a scholarship of 1 million won along with a trophy, and a small scholarship was also awarded to winners of each grade.The 11th Ilyo News Cup Baduk Tournament was co-hosted by Ilyo News company and the Asian Baduk Federation, organized by the Korea Baduk Association and the Korea Youth Baduk Federation, sponsored by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and cooperated by Tygem.
