2016 Kooksu Mountain cup has been finished with Korea's wins. Korea won both team & pair tournaments and won in the end.

Until last year, It was even between Korea and China as they won each one time. So this year, Park Junghwan, Lee Sedol and Kang Dongyun who are best members of Korea have attended to win. In the final against China team, all of three players won by 3 to 0, Park Junghwan, Lee Sedol and Kang Dongyun won each against Pan Tingyu, Chen Yaoye and Juo Luiyang.

In the pair tournament, Korea team (Lee Changho & Oh Yujin) got a trophy by winning against Japan team (Yuda Norimoto & Xie Min). Korea team was behind until the end game, but showed great level in the end game and just left half point to win

Aside pro tournament, total 1,000 amatuer players from Korea and overseas attended for International Children Baduk Festival and had a lot of events and enjoyed time all together. They also had a tour around Kangjin province such as visiting Bigeumdo which is the place Lee Sedol 9P was born.
