Washington Open Baduk Championship was opened successfully.

The 1st Washington Open Baduk Championship was opened with cooperation of American Go Association and KBA on 26th~27th of April.
About 100 players attended this championship and there were 7 groups according to the level.
There were many strong players in America like Andy Liu who became a pro for the first time in America and Yin Mingming Chinese pro and Kang ShinUk 7Dan and caught people's eyes.
Through 5 rounds of Swiss league, Andy Liu won this tournament with 5 wins.
Andrew Okun said in the opening ceremony that I believe this championship is a major Baduk championship in America with the number of players, size, and prize etc. We appreciate of KBA to support to have this great championship in America and hope to keep this later as
