Lee Yi Hsiu 7p from Taiwan Scored His 100^th Victory as a Pro and Ranked Second in Total Victories!

According to the last year's ranking of total victories recently announced by Japanese Go Association, Iyama Yuta 9p (born in 1989) ranked first in total victories with 43 victories and 14 defeats. Lee Yi Hsiu 7p, the Shinjin-O Title holder from Taiwan, ranked second with 38 wins and 12 loses.

What are special about this ranking of total victories are that Iyama Yuta is the only one player who won more than 40 victories and that two players in their twenties ranked first and second.

Iyama Yuta 9p who ranked first in total victories for the first time in his life won the Ryusei Tournament defeating Chang Hsu in the final match in Aug. the last year and set the record of the youngest Meijin Title holder taking Meijin Title from Chang Hsu in Oct. the last year.

Lee Yi Hsiu 7p, the Shinjin-O Title holder, was promoted to 5p last year according to his rank in the money list in the year award race at the beginning of the last year. He was promoted to 7p as he made it to the Kisei League. Lee 7p scored 100 victories and 52 defeats as of Dec. 31^st the last year. His records can be compared with Park Junghwan 5p (47 victories and 15 defeats) and Kim Seungjae 3p (44 victories and 18 defeats) in Korea.

Yamashita Keigo 9p, the holder of Kisei and Tengen titles, with 38 victories and 17 defeats and Chang Hsu 9p, the holder of Judan, Oza and Gosei titles, with 35 victories and 17 defeats ranked third and fourth respectively.

Also, Xu Yao Guo 8p with 33 victories and 15 defeats, Shida Tatsuya 3p with 32 victories and 11 defeats, Takao Shinji 9p with 31 victories and 26 defeats, O Rissei 9p with 28 victories and 13 defeats, Kono Rin 9p with 29 victories and 15 defeats and Yamada Kimio 9p with 29 victories and 20 defeats ranked fifth to tenth respectively.

Besides, Yoda Norimoto 9p ranked eleventh with 28 victories and 18 defeats. Xie Yimin 4p ranked fifteenth with 25 victories and 14 defeats. Kim Sujun 8p ranked sixteenth with 24 victories and 10 defeats and Hane Naoki 9p ranked eighteenth with 24 victories and 16 defeats. Also, Cho Sonjin 9p ranked twenty fourth with 22 victories and 10 defeats, Cho Chihun 9p ranked thirty first with 21 victories and 21 defeats and Ryu Shikun 9p ranked forty second with 19 victories and 11 defeats.
