Takapotku is a six-round McMahon go tournament held in Helsinki during the weekend of 11th, 12th and 13th February 2011. Takapotku is the largest annual tournament in northern Europe, reaching around a hundred participants each year. We aim to provide a pleasant tournament experience for players of all levels, from beginners to high dans.

The tournament is a major tournament in the Pandanet Go European Cup tournament series.

Rules

Six-round McMahon tournament
Reduced handicap for beginners (MMS-1), all other games with no handicap
Japanese rules & EGF tournament rules
The only tiebreaker is SOS
Class A EGF tournament
Main time 75 minutes
Byo-yomi 30 seconds
Komi 7 points (draws are possible)
