Takapotku 2013 is a five-round McMahon go tournament held in Helsinki during 8th and 9th of June 2013. Takapotku is the largest annual tournament in northern Europe, reaching around a hundred participants each year. We aim to provide a pleasant tournament experience for players of all levels, from beginners to high dans.

The tournament is a level 2 tournament in European Cup.

Rules

Five-round McMahon tournament
Reduced handicap for beginners (MMS-1), all other games with no handicap
Japanese rules & EGF tournament rules
The only tiebreaker is SOS
Class A EGF tournament
Initial time 45 minutes
For every move, time is incremented by 20 seconds (Fischer timing)
Komi 7 points (draws are possible)
