Korea's new defender Park JungHwan 9Dan showed a first step for the miracle in NongSim Cup. His concentration was different and his end game was great.
Park JungHwan 9Dan from Korea won against Tan Shao 7Dan from China by 1.5 points with black in the 12th match of 15th NongSim Cup in Shanghai on 26th.
The beginning was good for Park 9Dan but the game went roughly good for Tan 7Dan after Park 9Dan's attack was failed. But Park 9Dan showed great end game skills and finally turned it for him in the end game. Tan 7Dan lost his concentration in the end game and let Park 9Dan win the game which he was ahead until the middle game.
Yu Bin 9Dan the director of China was upset to see it as it was almost end for Tan 7Dan. He pointed out 6 mistakes Tan 7Dan made in the end game.
Park JungHwan 9Dan said in the interview that I can't say anything about the game. I could win the game as Tan 7Dan thought too easy for the end game. I will do my best tomorrow as well. Park 9Dan's next opponent is Juo LuiYang 9Dan from China. Park 9Dan is ahead a lot with Juo LuiYang 9Dan in the previous game results by 5 to 1
