KBA(Korea Baduk Association) announced 10^th important news in 2013. The first is that Korea has no wolrd title in 2013 as expected.

1. Korea has no title in 2013
There were 7 world tournaments in 2013, but lost all against China. Korea has won at least 1 world tournaments since 1996, but there is no this year. In the last world tournament, Lee SeDol 9Dan lost against Tan Weixing from China. China has 6 world tournaments and Japan has 1 title in 2013.  

2. KBA and KABA is all in one.
KBA and KABA were separated in 2005 but are together in 2013. Heo DongSoo the head of KBA tried it to be together and finally it is succeeded. KBA is in charge of all pro tasks while KABA is in charge of all amateur tasks.

3. New backup national athlete
KBA announced to have a backup national athlete system from this September. Lee HongYul, An JoYoung, Park SeongChel support for 40 players from high rankers and young players.

4. Longevity in Korea Baduk for the first time

Longevity has been appeared in Korea Baduk for the first time. It was in the game between Choi ChelHan and An SungJun in 2103 KB Baduk League. Longevity means, if two players don't give up for it, it is repeated forever. If two players agree, then it is draw.

5. Kim JiSuk had 2 titles in 2013.
Kim JiSuk 9Dan had very good year in 2013 having 2 titles GS Caltex Cup and olleh Cup. He is expected to be better in 2014.

6. Tbroad won the regular event in 2013 KB Baduk League.

Tbroad has been all in the bottom for last 6 years, but they won the regular event this year. Now, Tbroad is competing for the winner of the 2013 KB Baduk League against ShinAn Team.

7. Choi Jung is the best in women Baduk

Choi Jung keeps her great condition in 2013 who is just 17 years old. She got two titles in 2013, Women Myongin Cup and Women KiSung Cup. After Lui Naiwei has back to China, Choi Jung keeps after her in Korea.

8. Korea probe to be best in team tournament.  
Even Korea lost all its position in the world tournament, but probed to be best in team tournament. Korea won NongSim Cup, ChoSang Cup, Incheon Asia game which are all team tournaments.

9. Death match between Lee SeDol and Guli
Lee SeDol and Guli is each top player in Korea and China. The death match has too much risk for players, so others are reluctant to have it. But both Lee SeDol and Guli agreed as they think they are a rival. It will be held from 26^th of January 2014 to November.
