The death match between Lee SeDol 9Dan and Guli 9Dan will be started from 26^th of January 2014 in Beijing.

The death match's press conference sponsored by Mlily MongBak was opened in Beijing on 24^th of November.

In this press conference, Lee SeDol 9Dan, Guli9Dan, two heads of from KBA and CBA and also the head of HengKang named Li JangKun who is a sponsor of this and etc.

Lee SeDol 9Dan expressed his opinion about this death match that I am not afraid to lose this, but not to play my Baduk. Guli 9Dan said that this is a great chance for me from heaven, I will try to enjoy it without fear.

Guli 9Dan also said that I have met him three times in the final but I lost 2 times and won only 1 time. This is my turn.

4 hours for each player and boyomi will be given to each player and it is supposed to be held 9 times in China and only 1 time in Korea.

The winner will get about $ 80 million dollar and the lower will get $ 30,000 only. If the final result is even, then the prize will be given in even.

Lee SeDol: I will not regret if I would lose this match. Guli is my rival in my life.

Guli: I expect a lot this match with Lee SeDol. I hope to meet and play Baduk with Lee SeDol until I become 60 years old.

The idea about the death match

Lee Sedol: I am very thankful for Li JangKuun who sponsored this match and also two heads of both KBA and CBA. I am very happy to attend this.

Guli: Lee SeDol 9Dan mentioned that this is a present, which I told before. He is my goal we will compete doing our best.

Question: Currently, there are young players like after 90s and after 80s in both China and Korea. When do you expect them to be over both of you?

Lee SeDol: Even I have lost against them in 2013, I can't judge them now. I think the level is even but only difference is experience.

Guli: after 90s players are very strong. They are even with me, but I am confidence to win against them if I meet them in the final match.

Quesiton: 4 hours will be given to each, how do you feel about it?

Lee SeDol: As it is very important match for both of us, long thinking time is proper and I can show better games to all.

Guli: It is my first time to play with 4 hours thinking time. We will not be affected by this thinking time, rather each day's condition.

Question: How will you overcome the tension?

Lee SeDol: This match is really important for me. I have no idea about it, but I will try my best to enjoy this not tension.

Guli: Tension is always around me. If I can transfer it to good things for me, then it would be very helpful for me.

Question: How will you prepare this?

Guli : I am preparing now, this is all for my Baduk life. I will do my best to prepare well.

Question: Will you teach Baduk to your daughter?

Guli: I haven't thought about it. If she came to me with bright eyes and look at the Baduk when I studied, then I would consider it. But I wouldn't recommend her to become a pro as it is very hard.

Question: Why do you say that Guli is a present?

Lee SeDol: I feel something special about him as we are very close and also have similar ideas about Baduk.  

Qustion: Back to rank 1 in Korea has meaning for you before this match?

Lee SeDol: It has much meaning for me. I had very bad results in fast games but I am getting better as the year end comes, it is because I have more long games rather than fast games.

Qeustion: Who will get benefit from 4 hours thinking time?

Lee SeDol: We both haven't had this experience before, it is even for us.
