Korea got a great result in Samsung Cup.

In the round 16, Park JungHwan, Kim JiSuk, Lee SeDol and An SungJun won each against Juo Luiyang, Pan WinLue, Chen YaoYe and Guli from China. There for 4 Korean and 4 Chinese players left in the round 8. But Park YoungHun lost against Tang WeiXing from China.

Lee SeDol had very difficult situations until the end game, but found only way to turn it up by making a pae. So Lee SeDol 9Dan left only half point against Chen YaoYe.

Park JungHwan 9Dan killed big group from Juo Luiyang and won with many points. And Kim JiuSuk 9Dan won for the first time in the round 16 saying that I could win this game as my opponent misread the variations on the lower side. I think there are better players from Korea than me, so I am going to play my own Baduk regardless of any expectations.

An SungJun rank 16 in Korea won against Guli 9Dan from China which surprised all players there. An SungJun showed amazing moves which Guli 9Dan did not read in the middle game. Even the game went long, but An SungJun finished the game well. An SungJun said that I could get rest well and this help me to keep my style. CN

There were 11 Chinese player from China but only 4 players got into to round 8. Next matches are Kim JiSuk vs Tang WeiXing, Lee SeDol vs Chiu Jin, An SungJun vs Woo GhangYa, Park JungHwan vs Shi Wei.

Now it is 4 to 4 between Korea and China, but it seems that Korea has more possibility to win the tournament. Because rank 1 ~ 3 Park JungHwan, Kim JiSuk and Lee SeDol and rank 16 An SungJun alive now from Korea while rank 3 Shi Wei and others are out of rank 10 from China.
