There was a whole country Baduk tournament in Vietnam in Hanoi having a support from LS group from 25^th ~ 29^th of August.

2013 LS Cup Vietnam Baduk Championship had much difference in number of participants comparing with other Baduk tournament in Vietnam. Total participans were 92 and average was 60 before this tournament.

Duy, Bao who are Baduk teachers in Vietnam were willing to have Vietnam Baduk Championship on July or August, so many players can participate as it is vacation time. But they can't say directly instead they asked me to get support from LS group.

from July to August, it is kind of gold season in Vietnam. So Chess and Chiness Chess tournaments are being held during this time because they are really famous in Vietnam. Baduk is not very popular in Vietnam, so it is very hard to get support from outside for having tournaments.

It was very pity for everyone in Vietnam, so I (Lee KangWook 8Dan) asked this to LS group. LS group agreed to support this tournament in the end, so many Baduk players could participate there.

Many players enjoyed playing Baduk with others and it was good to see for everyone. But problems are everywhere. It is support fee from government. To tell the end, it is very hard to get support fee from government as Baduk is not popular and not many people enjoy it. I hope this tournament would good chances to let people know Baduk and support fee from government could help Baduk people here in Vietnam.
