China guests visited Korea to participate in 2013 MoLyongWang World Youth Baduk Tournament in GongJoo Korea. Gu Jien head teacher came to Korea from Jilin province. Jilin Kiwon is handling all mind-sports game such as Baduk, Chess, mah-jong, Chinese chess etc, and they visited Korea to experience advanced Korea Baduk said Gu Jien head teacher.
- What percentage Does BAduk have in Jilin Kiwon?
First of all, many of ethnic Korean lives in Jilin province, and ethnic Korean and Korea has common sense as they came from same ancestor. Tan Shao 7Dan is who rank 4 in China from Jilin province. Even Jilin province is countryside in China, but the government is willing to support those who are talented in Baduk a lot. So Baduk is especially famous and have many fans in Jilin province.
- How many tournaments does Jilin province have?
I think there are about 15~16 tournaments for all people in Jilin province. But if it is separated in city in Jilin province, there are uncountable tournaments.
- China is overwhelming world Baduk recently, can you explain the reasons and how you expect it?
In the past years, China has lost in the competition against Korea and got severe hurt as China believes to be a suzerain state of Baduk. Thereofore China government has been supporting Baduk both in financial as well as cultural support. For example, When recruiting people for bank or government, those who have experiences in Soccer is best and Baduk is second got advantage to get a job.
- Is there any other fact that Baduk is booming in China?
I believe that the competition between China and Korea boost it in most. Korea is our rival and also the friend to develop Baduk society. Baduk learners have been increased a lot since Asian Game in China.
