Iyama Yuta 9Dan won against Park JungHwan 9Dan in the final of the 25th TV Baduk Tournament by resign with white and win the tournament.
Iyama 9Dan born in 1989 is having 5 titles in Japan but this is the first time to win the world championship. His opponents were Lee ChangHo, Wang Shi, and finally Park JungHwan.
In the final match, Park JungHwan 9Dan's fast steps were great in the beginning but Iyame Yuta 9Dan tried to endure all of it and just wait the proper time to encounter.
Iyama 9Dan showed great reading skills in the center and the game was over after that.
It has been 8 years since Japanese player wins in the TV Asia Baduk Tournament, or YoDa Norimoto 9Dan's win which is 14 years ago. Anyway this is a sign for Japan to arise again.
Iyama 9Dan said in the interview that I am so happy to win the tournament as Japanese players have been very bad in the world championships for a long time. I got great confidence when I won against Lee ChangHo in the first game.
