Korea got a shocking results in LG Cup.

6 Korean players lost all in round 16 in LG Cup. There were 5 matches between Korea and China and 1 match between Korea and Japan. Lee SeDol lost against Thi Jiashi, Mok JinSuk lost Li JinCheng, An JoYoung lost Juo Luiyang, An HyongJun lost against Li Je, Kim SeongJin lost Sha ChenKun and Lee YoungGu lost against Iyama Yuta.

This results were unexpected for Korea even Lee SeDol was only player in round 16 who is within rank 10 in Korea.

For a long time, Korea and China have filled the seats as round goes but this time, 6 Chinese players and 2 Japanese players got seats.

China is strong.  

Thi Jiashi, Juo LuiYang, Li Je, Sha ChenKun, Chen Yaoye, Li JinCheng total 6 Chinese players got into the round 8.

Lee SeDol 9Dan rank 1 in Korea had better position in the beginning, but could not keep it from Thi Jiashi until the end. Lee 9Dan tried to kill Thi 9Dan's group but failed in the end.

Mok JinSuk and An JoYoung had many chances to win but lost all. Li JinCheng showed his great potential this time. (He is after 90s) Li JinCheng had very difficult situations until the middle game, but well found the way to follow step by step, and Mok 9Dan made mistakes at the same time.

An HyongJun's game was also very pity for him. An 4Dan from Korea tried his best to attack to lead the game which failed by Li Je from China's proper responses. Kim SeongJin from Korea had very closed game until the end game, but he made too many mistakes in the end game. Lee YoungGu was only one who led the game but he also made big mistake in the end game and lost.

Japan is changed.

Two players from Japan got into the round 8 which hasn't been since 2008.

Dakao ShinJi finished the game for the first against Guo YuJung from China. He got perfect win from the beginning, and after that Iyama Yuta from Japan won against Lee YoungGu.

It has been so long time since Japan got good results in the world championships. Yamashilo Hiroshi a director of Japan said it has been so long time and I am very happy to see good results and we will do better in the next round.

Iyama 9Dan said that I am also very happy to have good result. We re-organize our representative team and try our best to be better in the world championship. And this is the first result we got. I will do my best to win next game against Chen YaoYe 9Dan from China.
