Kim JiSuk is showing great condition against Lee SeDol in GS Caltex Cup.
Kim JiSuk 8Dan won against Lee SeDol 9Dan by resign with white in the second game of the 18th GS Caltex Cup on 17th. The score is 2 to 0 so far.
Kim JiSuk seemed to know how to play against Lee SeDol. When there were complicated reading and variations on the left side, Kim 8Dan showed very accurate reading skill which haunted Lee SeDol in the second game. In the normarl situations, Lee SeDol shows better reading skill this kind of variations, but this time was different.
Kim JiSuk said in the interview that I think I was good in the beginning. But when there was pae on the left side, it was too difficult to read all variations. I need to look on it later again. But I could get better positions there and I could win. I think I should play with my style without thinking and considering too much of the opponents.
Mok JinSuk 9Dan commented that Kim JiSuk 8Dan was not behind in reading against Lee SeDol 9Dan. The game was very complicated but Kim 8Dan could lead the game when he could invade black's shape on the right side.
After the game, two players reviewed with other players for a long time no matter of the result. It shows why they are top players in Korea.
