2013 KB Baduk league will be started from 11th of April by the first match between Hangame and Posco. 40 players will be played in Baduk league this year. The youngest player is Shin JinSEo 13 years old and the oldest one is Lee ChangHo 38 years old.
This year, a lot of issue will be said as all players level is getting very closed time to time. Young players will improve during the Baduk league while old members try their best to keep their positions. Lee SeDol's Shinan Team , Kim JiSuk's Hangame, Choi ChelHan's Sk Energy and Park JungHwan's JungGhanJang. All teams are very competitive this year and more people expect a lot for their new matches.
To look back on the past in Baduk league, it was all new players' good stages to be arisen. That is why Byen Sangil, Lee DongHun, Shin JinSeo are capturing people's eyes from the beginning of the league. And from this year, all players no matter of Baduk leaguer and Lockstar leaguer can show their level if their result is good.
There is China league in China. 12 teams attend this year in Kapjo league in 2013. And the interesting thing is that all top rankers in Korea from rank 1 to 6 will attend. Think aside top players in Korea who went to military service, it seems that all top Korean players attend China league.
In China league, there are 3 leagues from 1 to 3 and all teams have right to make contracts with any players. It means the door is open to all foreigner players. Furthermore, the prize is very big in China league. Lee SeDol's contract is that if he wins the game he gets 2 million dollar but no money with lost. Lee SeDol has won 19 wins in a row before in China league. This kind of freedom attract Korean players to attend China league.
China league will be very good example for Korea Baduk league. It gives stimulation as well as something more. But it is not only friend for Korea Baduk, it is risk for Korea Baduk. If China league is much more attractive to Korea Baduk players, then no one will attend Korea Baduk league, they will go to China. Korea Baduk league has been 10 years since its' first step. Now, it is time to look back and try to find to improve further.
