KBA chose 10 big news in 2012.

KBA (Korea Baduk Association) announced 10 big news in 2012 on 17^th. 1^st is Back HongSuk's win in BC Cup and Lee SeDol 9Dan's win in Samsung Cup is 4^th rank.

1^st. Back HongSuk won two world championship including BC Cup.

Fighter Back HongSuk 9Dan stopped Korea's fall in the world tournaments. Back 9Dan won against Dang Weifei 4Dan in the final of the 4^th BC cup and let his name to all Baduk people in the world. After that, Back 9Dan won against Kong Jie 9Dan in the 24^th TV Baduk Asia Championship. Back 9Dan is having the best time in 2012.

2^nd. Successful tournament - Korea Baduk League.

10 teams have attended in 2012 Korea Baduk League and it is developing one by one. 100 Pro players and 180 games are kind of legend in Korea Baduk League. Hangame team won the tournament and Posco LED won in the Lockstar League which is kind of 2^nd league of Baduk League.

3^rd. Park JungHwan got 1rank and won 3 tournaments.

Park JungHwan 9Dan proved to be current generation after Lee SeDol 9Dan and got 1^st rank. Park 9Dan is now in the final of Ing Cup. And Park 9Dan is also having best time this year and won 3 tournaments.

4^th. Lee SeDol 9Dan exploded in the end of the year.

Lee SeDol 9Dan showed unbelievable condition in the end of the year. Lee 9Dan won olleh Cup and Samsung Cup, Chunlan Cup. Lee 9Dan had a bit bad results in the beginning of the year, but he is changing the history in the 3 and 4 quarter in 2012.

5^th. Tournament for choosing two gifted children for the first time.

Tournament for choosing two gifted children for the first time in 2012 and Shin JinSue 13 years old, Shin MinJun 14years old became pro by this tournament. It is said that this tournament will boost people's will and also develop Korea Baduk as gifted children have more chances to show and improve their level.
6^th Korea had difficult time against after 90s from China.

After 90s from China attacked Korea players severely. Besides, Korea top players lost against after 90s in the important games in the beginning of the year.

7^th Women tournament without Lui

All women pro players fight to win the tournament without Lui 9Dan who came back to China last December. Park JiYun, Choi Jung and Cho HeaYun got title but Park JiEn 9Dan lost her title.

8th An SungJun showed amazing power in Korea price Information Cup.  

An SungJun 4Dan won against Kim JiSuk 8Dan by 2 to 0 in the 8^th Korea Price Information Cup which is against people's expectation.

9th Amateur Baduk player's festival [National League]

National League has been started last March. 12 amateur teams attended and fight to win the tournament with full league system.

10^th  AGA (America Go Association)  showed first pro players

Andy and Ganshi became professional players in America which is first time. They got entitled to attend world championship as a representative of America. And
