Lee SeDol and Guli won each against Choi ChelHan and Park JungHwan in the semi-final of 2012 Samsung Cup. As both players won by 2 to 0, there was no their game in the semi-final.
Kim SeongJae 5Dan commented this game that Park JungHwan 9Dan kept fighting during the game but had bad position before fighting. Guli seems stable before fighting and had better position during the game.
However Park 9Dan did not give up, instead he tried to follow up until the end game. The game became very close but it was hard to catch up further.
Kim SeongJae 5Dan also commented that it is hard to find the losing move in this game as it was too complicated at all times.
Lee SeDol kept the better position from the beginning to the end. There were moments when the game became complicated, but Lee SeDol did not lose this control all game.

- You said you don't want to meet with Guli in the semi-final, it means you want to fight against him in the final?
"Yes, it is. I hope Park JungHwan to win as a Korean player, but also happy to meet Guli in the final.
- Did you lead the today's game from the beginning?
"I agreed with it. I thought the beginning went as I wanted but there were mistakes when trying to finish the game in the middle game.
- The final is next month. How do you feel?
"I think it is almost even against Guli. I think I could win if I controlled myself well.

"My results are good in Samsung Cup recently. I think I have enough luck to win the tournane.t this time.
- Did you have confidence to win against Lee SeDol 9Dan in the round 32?
"There was special result against Lee SeDol at that time. I did not have confidence, but thought to do my best. I got more confidence after that.
- What can you say about Park JungHwan 9Dan?
"I think he is enough strong. But his condition was not good. I won the first game which I was behind, and good mood from the first game connected to second game.
- There was no sensation of after 90s this time.
"I am not surprised with it. Sometime, they are good but some are not. They need more experience in World tournament. When they get experience, then everything will be changed.
- How do you feel to meet Lee SeDol?
"We had many matches before knowing each other's style well. But I lost in many of important game, so I want to win this time.
