Choi ChelHan 9Dan, Won SungJin 9Dan, Kang DongYun 9Dan and Shi wei 5Dan got into semi-final of the 17^th LG Cup.

5 Koreans were in the round 8, and 3 Korean players had victory in the end. Choi ChelHan won against Len Shao who resigned the game before the match as his physical condition is very bad recently. Won SungJin 9Dan won against Lee YoungGu 9Dan which is a match between Koreans. Lastly Kang DongYun 9Dan won against Li Cang 6Dan and Shi Wei won against Na Hun 2Dan from Korea.

Choi ChelHan 9Dan waited more than 1 hour whether his opponent would come, but did not show up in the end.

Kang DongYun 9Dan did his best from the beginning and his strategy is getting as much as territory in the beginning and tries to live the weak group. And this strategy succeeded in the end. Won SungJin 9Dan had better position from the beginning as he got big territory on the upper side and reduced Lee YoungGu's territory well in the middle game.

Shi Wei got better position from the beginning against Na Hun by getting strong influence. Na Hun tried to make something in the center but Shi Wei blocked this well and won the game.
