Lee ChangHo lost first match in 2012.

It was last August when I went to China for 1^st Bailing Cup. I had dinner with Park JungWhan 9Dan who lost in the round 8 in 1^st Bailing Cup and went to Baduk bookstore inside of the Kiwon.

I introduced Park JungWhan 9Dan as 1 rank in Korea to Baduk fans in China , some asked for sign but many asked about Lee ChangHo saying he is still best for them.

In 2012, old trend was swept the Korea regardless of movie, drama, music. People who miss 1990 grew in our society and be in the center of consumption.

'After 90 generation90's power is amazing in Baduk society but still if asked who is the best player, then most people remind Lee ChangHo and Lee SeDol.

Lee ChangHo was only player 12 years ago; he has been in the center in Korea whenever Korea got good results in the world championship. Especially his apotheosis was early 2000.

He recorded 1000 wins, 100 wins in the tournament and LG Cup, Toyota Cup, Ing Cup, Chunlan Cup's title all in his hand in 2001, and also KookSu, KiSung, Paewang, Myongin titles also in his hand in Korea.

However when Lee SeDol won against Lee ChangHo in 2003 for the first time and Choi ChelHan also won in 2005, Lee ChangHo's trend changed a lot. After that, Lee ChangHo 9Dan came up second for the 9 times and young players in Korea do not feel Lee ChangHo impregnable.

Lee ChangHo 9Dan is 38 years old now, and it is hard for Lee ChangHo to be back in the center of the Korea Baduk. But Lee ChangHo 9Dan's chance came to him in Ing Cup and his opponent is Park JungHwan who is called next generation of Korea.

Past and present, how gap there is between past 1 rank and present 1 rank. No one said Lee ChangHo's level is not enough but problems are concentration and his health.

Lee ChangHo and Park JungHwan met before Ing Cup in the 40^th Highone Myoungin Cup on 11^th, and Park JungHwan 9Dan won by resign with white.
After resign, Lee ChangHo pointed out variation on lower side and started the review. Lee ChangHo got better position by making pae in the left lower corner.

But Lee 9Can failed his attack to Park 9Dan's group and when it survived without any damages, the game went for Park 9Dan.

Seeing this game, Lee ChangHo's Baduk seemed to be very hurry. Lee 9Dan used not to attack in the beginning and also in the middle game. Lee 9Dan's strength was end game, but Lee 9Dan feel too much pressure under the boyomi these days and it is main reason to change his style.

Keep trying to change the style to be survived and also to be stronger is player's responsibility and also the right. But as a Lee ChangHo's fan, I want to see that Lee 9Dan wins the world championship with his old style.
