Back HongSuk won three Chinese players Len Shao, Thi Jiaxi and Kong Jie and won the 24th TV Asia Baduk Cup for the first time.
on 17th of August, Back HongSuk 9Dan won against Kong Jie 9Dan by resign with white in the 24th TV Baduk Asia Cup. It is second win for him to win the world Baduk Championship this year.
However Back 9Dan has confidence before the final since he won the BC Cup this year. Back 9Dan kept his style in the final game. In the beginning, Back 9Dan's punch hit Kong 9Dan and led the game but Kong 9Dan made it very closed and almost turned it up for him. In the end game, Kong 9Dan misread the pae and his big group died suddenly and it was end.
Kong Jie 9Dan who has tried to win 4 times in a row this title lost the title and has no world championship title now. Back HongSuk 9Dan won the TV Asia Cup and his world championship titles are two now.
Korea, China and Japan held this tournament every year one by one. Japan has won 9 times this title which is top and Korea 8times and China 7times. Next TV Asia Cup will be held in Japan next Jul
