The 12^th Hanwha World Children KookSup Cup has changed its name before it is held from DaeHan to Hanwha.

All of winners of this tournament have already become pro, so it is called direct gateway to pro. Choi GuByong 9Dan who is a head of pro said during the opening ceremony that more opportunities will be given to talented children which got applaud a lot from children's parents.

Hanwha Cup is proud of its biggest size in the world and it was held in Yeouido 63 building on 8^th of August.

Total 288 children from Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Taipei, Rumania and Ukraine 8 countries attended this year. VIPs also came there to celebrate the tournament like Cha NamGu a CEO of Hanwha and Jo HonHun 9Dan etc.

288 children who are in the final got through the preliminary in 25 cities and foreign countries and children in the strongest group will be played by swiss system and winner gets 10,000 USD as a prize.

Cha NamGu CEO of Hanwha said in the opening ceremony that I hope this tournament gives more chances to many children to enjoy Baduk and also one way of knowing friends and learn good things through this tournament. Choi GuByong 9Dan a head of pro said that all of winners of this tournament become pro. I believe that more chances will be given to talented children in the future.

Hanwha Cup has a variety events such as simultaneous games, recreation Quiz, and lot events etc.
