Park Younghoon 9P won the 12nd Maxim Cup winning the best of three series 2:0. He defeated Lee Changho 9P by 0.5 point in the second round.

The two players have the similar playing style. They are famous for the accurate counting ability. People used to say if one of them wins by 0.5 point, the winner will be Lee Changho. However, now people say the 0.5 point winner will be Park Younghoon.

This year Park Younghoon held Myoungin title, and this one is the second. On the other hand, Lee Changho has still not got back a title yet.

The 12nd Maxim is a rapid tournament for 9 Dan players; only 9 Dan professional players can take part in the competition. The main time is 10 minutes and 3 periods of 40 seconds for the overtime. The winner prize money is 25 Million Won (approx. $ 23,000)
