In third round, Xie Yi Min 5P defeated Mukai Chiaki 4P by resignation after 163 moves, and she well defended the 23rd Female Meijin title by winning the series 2-1.

Now she has holds the Female Meijin titles for four years in a row. Also she established a new title record as a female player; 11 titles in her career. On the other hand, Mukai Chiaki again failed to hold her first title.
