Park younghoon 9P defeated Won Sungjin 9P by resignation in the last title match and became the 38th Korean Myeongin winning the best of five series 3:2.
The two finalists are born in the same year and famous for the different play styles. In this title matches, the one who is good at building territories won the series.
This is Park Younghoon's first time to hold Myeongin.
The 38th Myeongin is sponsored by High 1 resort and Hankuk Ilbo, and managed by Baduk TV and Korea Baduk Association. Each player is given 2 hours and 1 minute for 3 times for the overtime.
The total scale of the 38th Myeongin is 800 million Won (approx. $ 712,000) and first prize is 100 million Won (approx. $ 89,000). Except the first and second prizes, game winners are given 1.5 million Won (approx. $ 1,240), and the game losers are given 700 thousand Won (approx. $ 580).
