The title holder Jo Hanseung 9P had a win against Won Sungjin 9P in the first round of 15th title challenge matches. He defeated Won Sungjin 9P by resignation after 171 moves without a big fight.

The 15th GS Caltex Cup gives 2 hours and 40 seconds of overtime counting for 3 times. The first prize is 50 million Won (approx. $40,900), and second prize is 12 million won (approx. $9,800)

From next year, the title holder also needs to play the finals.

The second round will be played on Nov. 3, 12:00 (Korean Standard Time), and it will be live broadcast on WBaduk.
