[Nongshim Cup] Round 3 Result
Xie He 7P blocked Lee Sedol 9P! In the round 3, Xie He defeated Lee Sedol by resignation after 189 moves. Xie He showed again that he is definitely a natural enemy of Lee Sedol. Professionals say that Lee Sedol's magic moves do not work for Xie He because Xie He is very calm and also strong at attack.
Lee Sedol showed his willingness for 10 consecutive wins being the 1st player of Korea, but he could not make it.
The next player of Japan is Sakai Hediyuki 8P. Chinese Baduk fans are once again looking forward to the legend of Xie He in Nongshim Cup.
Nongshim Cup is a ring contest where five representative players of Korea, China, and Japan participate to determine the winner of the country. Each player who wins continues to play opponents from the other two teams, alternating between them until there are no more opponents left. The champion prize is 200 million won (approx. 1,200,000 RMB), and each player is given 1 hour and 1 period of 60 seconds for over time.
The 12th Nongshim Cup is sponsored by managed Nongshim Co., Ltd., and managed by Korea Baduk Association.
