2010 Olleh KT cup is a new Korean professional tournament, and its semi finals have started. Through the fifth preliminary rounds and final knockout tournament, Lee Sedol 9P, Yun Junsang 8P, Kang Dongyoon 9P, and Choi Chulhan 9P advanced to the semi finals.

On Oct. 3, Kang Dongyoon defeated Choi Chulhan by resignation after 259 moves. The game was full of fighting sprite. Both of player caught big groups, but it was better for Kang Dongyoon.

In the  interview, Kang Dongyoon said that he wants to face Lee Sedol in the title match.

The semi final match between Lee Sedol and Yun Junsang will be played on Oct. 5, 19:00 (Korean Standard Time), and it will be live broadcast on WBaduk.

2010 Olleh KT cup is sponsored by the telecommunications company Olleh KT. The total prize money is 700 million Won (approx. $ 620,000), and the winner prize is 100 million Won (approx. $ 89,000).

A interesting thing of this cup is its venue changes like a tour having some side events such as simultaneous games or problem solving competition. On Oct. 4, 10 professional players including Lee Sedol had simultaneous games with 100 citizends.
