As the drama "The Glory" became popular, online sales related to Baduk (Go) considerably surged.
G-market announced on the 22nd that sales of Baduk-related products increased 134% year-on-year from the 30th of last month to the 17th of this month when The Glory began to be on air.
According to G-market, the sales of Baduk-related books also increased by 67% compared to the previous year, while chess (98%), Janggi (34%), and board games (74%) also increased.
Sales of Baduk products increased 33% compared to the previous same period, and Baduk-related books (48%), chess (86%), and Janggi (19%) also sold well.
An official from G-market explained, "with 'The Glory' gaining huge popularity, interest in Baduk, which was used as an important material in the play, has been increasing, as well as the sales of Baduk-related products.
