The 4th National Baduk Tournament of the Presidential Cup held

The National Baduk (Go) Tournament of the Presidential Cup, which marks its fourth anniversary, was held on the 30th at Hwaseong Sports Town in Gyeonggi Province.
About 1,200 players participated in the 4th Presidential Cup in a total of 34 categories, including 15 categories in the national division, 5 in the elementary general division, and 14 in the student division in Hwaseong City.
Hwaseong Mayor, Chung Myung-geun said in a welcoming speech,
"It is a big pleasure that many Baduk players have visited Hwaseong City, the mecca of Baduk in Korea, for four consecutive years despite the difficult situation due to COVID-19."
Also, he said Hwaseong City will continue to hold the Presidential Cup every year as usual, so please try to make it a grand festival that all Baduk players from all over the countries can participate in every year.
Seo Hyo-Seok, the chairman of the Korea Baduk Federation (KBF), said, "The KBF will make its best efforts to popularize Baduk through the whole world as Baduk can give a lot of positive effects to youth players.
