All finals matches of world championships in 2016 is between Chinese players which showed monopoly situation for China. And the final of LG cup which is scheduled to be held early next year is also between Chinese players. So this is last world championship which Korean player have oppurtunity to be in the final.

Park Younghun 9P won against Len Shao 7P in the round 8 while Kim Jisuk 9P lost against Guo Zhihao. In another matches, Ke Jie won against Mi Yuting and Tan Shao won agianst Thuo Jiaxi.

Next semi-final is turning point for Chunlan up. If Park Younghun 9P lost, then it would be the festival for Chinese players only.
