Pan Tingyu 9P finished first round with 3 wins in the end. Pan 9P from China won against Jang Shi 9P from Japan by resign with white in the 4th match of first round.

Jang Shi 9P had good result in the begiinning, but Pan 9P got better position when he got important stones and had no weak groups. After that Pan 9P showed perfect moves to arrange the game and give no chance at all.

Pan 9P said in the interview that the match with Lee Donghun 7P from Korea was the most difficult game for me as I would lose without his mistake. And I know there are many strong players in the second round, but I think China team is ahead by the result of first round.
