| Cho Chihun 9P became honored Myoungin which is one of top honored title in Japan. Asahi newspaper said that Cho Chihun 9P became honored Myoungin according to the regulation in his 60th birthday. Japan provides this honored Myoungin for those who have won 5 times in a row in 7th major tournaments or won total more than 10 times when he becomes 60 years old or retire. Cho 9P became a Myoungin in 1980 for the first time and won 5 times in a row until 1984 and got right to become honored Myoungin. After that, he got car accident in the middle of 1980, but he revivede himself and returned to be the top from 1996 to 1999 and showed miracle to people. It is second to become it as Kobayashi Goichi 9P got first when he was 60 years old. |
