4 Korean players from 1st to 4th rankers got into the round 8 all together.

In the round 16, Park JungHwan, Lee SeDol, Kang DongYun and Kim JiSuk won while Ke Jie, Shi Yue, Tang Weixing won. And only Kono Lin from Japan is in the round 8.

Ke Jie 9P ranked 1st in China had very closed game against Wang Yuanjun from Taiwan and left only half point in the end. And Park JungHwan and Lee SeDol won each against Hwang Wonsung from China and Lin Lishang from Taiwan

Kim JiSuk 9P who is in the very difficult position surrounding high rankers of Chinese player got through and watching for next. Kim 9P won against Mi Yuting 9P in the round 16, and meet with Tang Weixing 9P in the following match.

From Japan, Kono Lin 9P beats against Park YoungHu 9P from Korea in the round 16, and meet with Shi Yue 9P from China in the following match.

The match up for round 8 is very interesting. Park JungHwan vs Ke Jie, Kim JiSuk vs Tang Weixing, Lee SeDol vs Kang DongYun and Shi Yue vs Kono Lin.

Poeple think the match between Park JungHwan 9P and Ke Jie 9P seems to be so early as one of them lose in the round 8. Many expect them to compete in the final rather than in the round 8.
