Kim ChangHun 6Dan from Korea won in the world amatuer Baduk tournament.
There are 57 players from 57 countries who attend this year from 7th to 10th of June. For the first time, it has been opened in Thailand, not in Korea.
Kim ChangHun 6Dan won 8 games in a row and won the tournament.
In the 4th round, Kim ChangHun 6Dan met Huao Hua 6Dan from China which was a turning point for both players. Kim 6Dan overcomes him in the 4th round and there were not many difficulties after that.
Huao Hua 6Dan from China came up second with 7wins 1lose and Lai JunPu 7Dan from Taiwan came up third with 6wins 2loses.
Kim ChangHun 6Dan said in the interview that I am really happy to win this tournament and I hope this would be a turning point for me to become a pro as soon as possibe.
The World Amateur Baduk Tournament has been opened with support from IGF, Thailand Baduk Federation and KBA supported also.
