On May 26, Lee Sedol 9P and Chang Hao 9P, the representatives of Korea and China, played a special match to celebrate Shanghai Expo in China; May 26 was a Korean Day of Shanghai Expo. The game was favorable for Chang Hao till the middle game, however, Lee Sedol made the game complicated and won by resignation.

Each player was given 1 hours and 1 minute's overtime counting for 1 time. The winner Lee Sedol received 15 Million Won (approx. $12,250), and the loser received 10 Million Won (approx. $8,150)
