Today the EGF(European Go Federation) is having its 3rd pro, Mateusz Surma!
Mateusz Surma 6D 18 years old from Poland won his first 4 rounds against Timur Sankin 6D, Csaba Mero 6D, Cristian Pop 7D and Ilya Shikshin 7D in the 2nd European Pro Qualification 2015 in Pisa, Italy held on from last Friday, the 6th of March.
He studied Baduk in Korea for 2.5 years from he was 14, and at that time many Korean pro teachers said that he has a talent to be a pro. Especially they admired Mateusz's good attitude, and he finally did it in Europe. Congrats!
Tomorrow, the 4th pro will come after the next two rounds; there are 4 people fighting for the left one ticket, Thomas Debarre 6D from France, Ilya Shikshin 7D from Russia, Andrii Kravets 6D from Ukrain and Cornel Burzo 6D from Romania.
Last year at the 1st EGF pro qualification, Cornel Burzo 6D won against Mateusz Surma in the 3rd round but lost again Pavol Lisy 1P in the 4th round which made Pavol the 1st EGF pro.
Let's see who is going to be the EGF's 4th pro! It will be decided in a day.
