The 31st World Amateur Go Championship will be played from May 24th through 31st 2010 in Hangzhou, China.

In order to carry out the 31st World Amateur Go Championship in Hangzhou smoothly and properly, the IGF has decided to alter the time allowance of the participating players as under

- Time allowance : 60 minutes for each player
- Byoyomi: 30 seconds x 3 times
- Remarks: English will be used for byoyomi.

This change is decided as the result of consultation with the organizing committee of the 31st WAGC.
