7th European Students Championship

which will be held within
Games Festival ¡®Deskohrani'
in 14-16 October, 2011

Special guest – teacher : Catalin Taranu, 5p

Tournament system: McMahon, 5 rounds, even games, basic time 60 minutes per player, byoyomi
15 moves per 5 minutes or 3x30 seconds according to the type of a clock, komi 6,5. Final
placement criteria: Number of wins, SOS, SOSOS.

Who is eligible to participate: Every University student who is less than 30 years old (date of birth
is 1.1.1982 or later) and a citizien of any of the EGF member countries. Participants must be able to
prove on request their University status and their nationality.

Friday, 14 Oct. 15:30 – 17:30 – a public lesson with Catalin Taranu
19:00 – ¡| a lesson with Catalin Taranu for top players

Saturday, 15 Oct. 09:00 - 09:45 Registration
10:00 - 20:00 1 - 3 rounds
Sunday, 16 Oct. 09:00 - 16:00 4 - 5 rounds
16:00 Prizegiving and Closing ceremony

Venue: Tyrs¡® house, Ujezd 40, Praha 1 – Lesser Town (Mala strana)

How to get there: Tram No. 12, 20 and 22 to the station Ujezd (from Lesser Town Square
direction) or Hellichova (from direction Andel – 12,20 or from direction "Narodni trida" -22)

Prizes:
1st place: 300 EUR
2nd place: 200 EUR
3rd place: 100 EUR

Refrishment during the games is free of charge for tournament players!

Accommodation: Organiser guarantees a free accommodation for three nights (since Friday, 14
Oct. till Sunday, 16 Oct. included) in a hostel to one representative of every EGF member countries
whose current rating according to the EGD is at least 2100 on condition he/she registers for the
tournaments by 30 September 2011.
