Hi,

I'm Seul-Ki Hong 7dan. I'm teaching Baduk in Manila of the Philippine since this April. This is first news from me so I introduce by myself shortly.
I was studying at the Kwun Kab Rong's academy that is very famous at education and training many professional players including Lee Sedol and Choi Chulhan 9dan.
I was also in Insei from 1994 to 2000 and graduated from Baduk studies of Myoungji University in 2010.

When I first met foreign Baduk players is 2003 EGC in Russia. I saw many people; they enjoyed a lot their two weeks holiday with family. I saw many people who were not really strong, but they spent all their time and played in byoyomi. I saw people from many countries; they were all together with same in common Baduk. So I was able to realize their innocent passion about Baduk, and how much they love it. Those things were quite moved me because I was exhausted with long time period studying and matches in that time. I thought it would have been very nice if I teach them. Therefore I stayed in Europe for 2 years and that is why I am here in the Philippine now.

While I stayed in Europe, I realized and leant many things. I know that they have many problems and face difficulties in each country. But nevertheless in this difficult environment, many people try their best to advance and spread Baduk in each other's position and country. I really thank for them and appreciate it as well as strong amateur players. Baduk has developed a lot in world these days due to their noble and passionate effort.
Also in Philippine, I know that there are many people who really love Baduk and make their effort as much as they can. Therefore I don't doubt that Filipino Baduk has bright future.
