The Korean Ambassador s Cup Tournament in Madrid

There was " Korean Ambassador's Cup Tournament " on 5th and 6th of May at a go club of Madrid, and it was also Madrid Open Tournament. More than 70 players participated to enjoy it from many European countries, China and Korea. The place was very central, just beside of the Plaza Espanya where there are statues of a famous writer Servantes and his hero Don Quijote.
After 5 rounds, finally a Korean player of 7d Cho Seok-Bin won the championship, and Oscar Anguila 4d became the first Spanish player like the last year. As usual, the Korean Ambassay donated many go books for the prizes.

This tournament is " the tournament of dream " for the Spanish players because the best Spanish will participate in " The Prime Minister's World Amateur Go Championship " which will open in Korea at the autumn of this year.
The KABA (Korea Amateur Baduk Association) will support every expenses such as airplanes, hotels, food and sightseeing.
Like any other Spanish tournaments, after prize-giving ceremony the group of organization gave free food and wine party. ^^
Everybody really enjoyed the tournament, and let's meet again all together in Madrid next May !
