Part 1, Food
It was my second time to visit Belgium. Last year, my husband and I went to Brussels for a Baduk workshop and stayed there for about a week. At that time, I wanted to have the famous Belgium waffle. Having waffle is kind of a passion among Korean women, so I was curious about it. But I could not have it due to the lack of time. I strongly said to my husband, In-seong, that I will definitely have the waffle this time. And he promised me. However, the venue was in a small village of city Liege, and there was nothing, not even a market. I was a little disappointed.
When I entered the camp building, a girl and man welcomed me with a big smile. I thought they are Baduk players, but they did not even know how to play Baduk. They came to the camp only to cook for us! The cooks were friends of the camp organizer and also the president of the Belgium Go Association, Marie. The food they made was very delicious. Every meal time we could have a hot meal, and most of them were Belgium traditional food. It was much better than what I expected! After having their food, waffle was not a matter at all for me. I kept saying, "Food here is terrific!" I felt their effort from food. I should say thanks again to the two cooks.

Part 2, Venue
The camp venue was kind of middle of nowhere. My first thought was, really here? Furthermore, after entering the building, we were guided to the basement through a big hole with stairs. I wondered it again. After putting our luggage, Marie brought us to the lecture room, and then I understood why she chose here. Just beside the teaching room, there was a big garden where we could play game and have meals under the sunshine. Luckily the weather was fantastic, so we enjoyed the garden pretty much. Especially guys had a lot of fun with playing baseball and soccer. It was just a good camp.

Part 3, People
When thinking about a past event, all of the things come behind of who you met there. People I met in Belgium Baduk camp were super kind. I felt like I am with countryside people. Their sweet caring let me smile all the time. I had my small class for under 10kyu players, and actually that was my first time to give a lecture in a camp. Before going to the camp, I was a little nervous about it. But thanks to their warm smiles, I could do it in peace. At that time, I was too shy to say to them that I appreciate their kindness. I hope they read this and know my gratitude.

* Problems solving game - it was a team match.

* Music quiz time
Nice food in nice place with nice people, playing Baduk. What did we need more? Nothing. It was just happiness. I hope to see all of them next year in the camp!

* See you!
